Founders of the church «We minister to you»
Dr. Ed Montgomery, Sr., Ph.D., D.Mgt. Senior Pastor Montgomery received the call to establish Greater Harvest Church in May, 2000. He is a professor of management at a local university. Dr. Montgomery started the church with 5 members. Through prayer, fasting, and personal labor, Dr. Montgomery preached, taught, and ministered to the church body, and members of the community. His vision developed from teaching and worshiping in the basement of his home, into our current home, which consists of a 6-acre campus that includes a 100-seat church sanctuary building, a 154-seat community center building, a 50-seat children's church building, a 74-seat outdoor covered picnic pavilion, a regulation-sized softball field, and a 1/2 acre children's playground. His passion is to see souls saved and working for the kingdom of God.
Evangelist Josephine Montgomery. Evangelist Montgomery worked with her husband, Dr. Ed Montgomery, to build Greater Harvest Church from the ground up. She is a dynamic preacher, and she's most known for establishing the GHC Food Pantry. Under her leadership, the food pantry served over 3,000 people on a monthly basis. She also established food distribution partnerships with 5 local group homes. She prays and is always willing to help those in need, wheather it be spiritual or natural.
Pastor Eddie Montgomery, Jr. Pastor Montgomery is a Regional Financial Director at a credit union, and a full-time pastor at Greater Harvest Church. His expertise in economic development and community outreach helps him to excel at GHC. Pastor Montgomery preaches hard and teaches unapologetic sound doctrine. His love for the youth in our community is obvious. He is the founder of many of our youth programs and community outreach events.
Prophetess Rena' Montgomery. Prophetess Montgomery is an administrative officer of Greater Harverst Church, and founder Transformed Daughters, an outreach ministry. She is the wife of Pastor Eddie Montgomery, Jr. Prophetess Montgomery is a mother, author, entrepreneuer, educator, conference speaker, and minister of the gospel. She holds a Bachelors degree in Speech Pathology, and a Masters degree in Elementary Education. Prophetess Montgomery is currently pursuing an Ed. S. degree from Valdosta State University. She loves the Lord with all her heart. She has a passion for the presence of God. She desires to see God's people, of all walks of life, fulfill their God-given destiny, by applying the transforming WOrd of God, and being led by His Spirit. Prophetess Montgomery is a cheerleader of change!
